Kitty Forbes is a London based Illustrator specialising in canine portraiture.
As a textiles and surface design graduate from the Leeds College of Arts, Kitty’s clever creations reflect her deep appreciation for aesthetic detail, and the honesty of individual portraiture.
Having grown up with dogs as a treasured part of her life, Kitty’s honed ability to capture their distinctive character in her unique and engaging artworks has lead to pursuing her passion for illustration full-time.
Working out of her Brixton studio, Kitty loves the challenge of bringing her subjects to life on the page, and says that her favourite part of the process is getting to see the delight on her client’s faces when the final artworks are presented.
Kitty’s work is discerning, intricate and instilled with care, as she delicately explores texture and line in hand-detailed pencil combined with watercolour adding depth and character to our most beloved subjects of all - man’s best friend.

"Kitty completely nailed our two terriers Tessa and Gunner, the pictures hang in pride of place and are much admired. The whole process was super simple and we are delighted with the results.”
